Had a great time with Carolynne & Gary on their eShoot around Dovestone reservoir earlier this week. It's a location me and Sara spend a fair bit of time just walking and exploring, it has a look and feel of somewhere far away in the Canadian wilderness and yet just 12 miles from the middle of Manchester city centre!

Lorraine and Liz had been together for twelve years, so this was a long time in the planning! Unfortunately they just missed the date for same-sex marriage, but it'd taken twelve years to get here, so they weren't going to wait any longer!

Bizarrely, whilst flicking through our sample albums on our first meeting they independently recognised the best man from one and the groom from another... small world!

The day began with some spirited 'bride getting ready' shots. In charge of the important bit was the very capable hair and makeup magician Clare Ardern - I think the third wedding in a month where we've crossed paths :)
The bride (Lucy) had very strong ideas about her photography, it was to be 'almost' completely documentary style, with the minimal of creative intervention!

Jai & Mish organised their wedding, quite perfectly, in just under 3 months and even had time to make lots of their own details too!

We were already quite familiar with Laura as she was the bridesmaid at Liz and Stephen's rather hot and sunny wedding at the Lakes. Laura and Emmet's wedding, on the 3rd of January would have a somewhat different feel!

Jen and Ash got married early December, ceremony at 4.00pm, sunset was at 3.52pm - bit of a photographic challenge! Jen got ready at Moss Wood Cottage, in The Stables a really excellent bridal prep location for the Peover area...gorgeous outside and in. There was still a bit of light, so an opportunity for a few bridal portraits before the light faded was in order!
